June 21, 2011 ... Some of the first IR pictures ever published with a Fuji W3 camera !!
Here exif : F 4 1/4s ISO 400
Notes : The Fuji W3 seems to be very sensitive in near
infrared ! Indeed here 2x 830nm filters have been placed in front of the objectives.

This I guess could open a new era in both 3D and IR photography
!
It could be necessary to put the W3 on a pod as the auto exposure here was 1/4s.
But the weather was cloudy then needs more testings...
I did a trial at ~700nm.
This picture done in 2 steps auto mode and hand held. (Exif : Exposure 1/15s,
1600 ISO, F3.7)
Some colors are kept. I used SPM to convert from
.MPO to .PNG to keep quality and resolution then used RegiStax6 freeware to
:
1. check R/B channel swap function in Settings menu
2. load the 3D picture
3. modifiy colours using the RGB Balance and Gamma functions.
The result can be seen here in
|| vision.
Sunshine came then new testing in same conditions ...

Here exif : F 3.7 1/5s ISO 400
Finally with sunshine and just for the record, the 950nm can be used ... but we reach the limit of sensitivity with a brush effect !
