The Casio QVs for astronomy
Can be used in my opinion : QV-2800UX & QV-3500EX or QV-4000EX
My choice went on the QV-2800UX & QV-2900UX
after 15 days of comparative studies on the www
using the links at bottom of page.
The mains reasons to choose the QV-2800/2900 were :
Optical Zoom 8x (+ num 2x, 4x but with pixellisation)
Swivel 360° lens
Exposures up to 1 minute ( + mode
BULB)
with dark frame taken automaticaly
2.11Mp
Mode uncompressed
TIFF
(For QV-2800UX, turn camera on while pressing "info" with large free
space in memory
or choose directly from menu for QV-2900UX)
Saving Tiff via
USB
and explorer from TIFF dir,
reading/batch converting images with Irfanview (unnecessary with QV-2900UX)
